The kind of work I do
I usually get involved when a product needs someone to take responsibility across the whole technical stack — from early ideas and specifications to production systems that need to run reliably.
- Shaping product ideas into concrete technical specs
- Designing system architecture and technical direction
- Writing and reviewing production code (backend, frontend, devops, etc)
- Setting up and operating cloud infrastructure and deployments
- Navigating legacy systems as well as greenfield projects
- Automating workflows, including LLM-assisted tools where they make sense
I'm comfortable working directly with founders, product teams, or existing engineering teams. Projects often grow beyond what one person can reasonably handle, and when that happens I'm used to helping bring in additional people or reorganize responsibilities so things keep moving without unnecessary friction.
My first step is always to understand the problem, constraints, and goals. Solutions should adapt to the business, not the other way around.

About me
I'm a software engineer who's worked across product, backend, and infrastructure for many years. I came into engineering through design, and it still shapes how I approach my work, especially around clarity, constraints, and the people affected by technical decisions.
These days I mostly work in startup environments, close to founders and small teams, where decisions tend to be practical and have lasting impact. I enjoy helping teams build things that are solid and maintainable, without over-engineering or unnecessary complexity.
I like working collaboratively, asking the awkward questions early, and creating space for people to focus on what actually matters.
Outside of work, I appreciate slowness, care, and time spent away from urgency.
